Security – In-Person
Less than Lethal (Law Enforcement / Security only)
Baton, OC (pepper) spray and restraints. Open only to those working in law enforcement or security.
About this training
Tennessee PPS requires at least 4 hours of certified training for each less-than-lethal weapon, a card signed by a PPS-certified trainer and your employer's authorization.
You learn the law and use-of-force continuum, threat assessment and de-escalation first, then safe striking zones for the baton, correct OC spray patterns and distances, the safety features of electronic control devices, aftercare, reporting and documentation.
One-time certification – it stays valid as long as you hold the certificate.
